Honda RT5000
I picked up a Honda RT5000 tractor. It runs great, and all the hydraulics work, but under a load, like accelerating. Sounds like a loud clicking. It is load sensitive. It does move, but i do not want to drive it for fear of damaging it.

Anyone ever experienced this? With how good this guy runs, i'm willing to invest time/money to make it work.

If anyone could help with a shop manual that would be awesome.

Could be a number of things.....something simple "rubbing", chipped gear......etc? You really need to try to isolate the general area where the sound is coming from and go forward from there. Service manual would be very helpful but a parts diagram can be the next best thing when trying to figure out some issues. OEM Parts

It's gas, right? Spark advance, lean mixture, loose rod or wrist pin or crank bearings, worn cylinder bore. Can you get an automotive stethoscope to get closer to the physical source of the noise while you're operating?
These are intriguing little tractors, and often for sale here and there.

Long time motor guy, it's not pinging or an internal motor noise. Sounds like it's coming from under the seat/rear of the seat, so trans. I drove it a little last night to make the sound. Seems like something is slipping in transmission. Thinking of looking at the clutch.
Thanks for the replies so far.
