List NGK BPRS5K plug which is either 3/4 or 13/16. Not at home or could give exact as I have that plug for my push mower. May need a swivel drive to reach. Good luck. Will update when back at home base. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

You really aren't doing the generator any favors if this is simply for off season storage. Your motor oil is protecting the engine from corrosion, spark plugs should be replaced on schedule rather than being cleaned- plus excess oil just creates a messy, extended start.

Well while that may be true what you say, it doesn't help the OP who is looking for info on how to get the spark plug out. Removing the plug to check on it's condition sounds like a good idea to me.

OK, quick search on the internet found this video:

At around 3 minutes into video, it shows changing the spark plug.

Kudos to you Richard for finding a video. I know that if I had a genny to fire up on a cold winter's day, I'd much rather it not have a tablespoon of oil in the combustion chamber.
