Anyone got a ballpark idea of what the traveling show have for loader tractors?
In other words.. what is the smallest loader tractor configuration I should expect to see.. and a guess on prices? There is a traveling show coming to within an hour of me this week..and I'm still on the edge about a loader tractor..

The road shows often have a 2wd Turf tire unit with the chinese loader around $7K. A compact with 2wd makes a pretty limited loader tractor, it does have power steering but is only available with Turf tires. The road shows do not offer koyker loaders, only the ZLseries from China. They sometimes have the 2425 25HP 4wd with loader I think it is a little over $8K. If you have a farm Pro dealer near you they can offer you Koyker loader for a few hundred more.

I recently picked up a locally built loader for my 2420 from http://www.coldwatertractors.com/ There were a couple of local places that sell these types of loaders, mostly for gray market tractors - the one I got was custom made for the tractor and cost me $1,500 - it seems to be surprisingly well made - it put my total cost for tractor and loader at 5k. You might want to see if anyone in your area sells similar loaders.

And, getting back to a prior topic, my tractor starts with no problem, even down to 30 degrees.

I would not recommend any loader on the base 2wd Farm Pro, the front end and steering are not designed to haul much extra weight, besides power steering is pretty much a necessity for laoder use in my book...

I can sell a JM184 with a Koyker loader for about $7K. and it is 4wd with power steering, but I understand $2K is a big percentage difference at these prices!
