I threw a couple pics on the wood handling thread but thought I'd add it to this one for anybody not seeing the other. I put this together using the square tongue from a corn planter for the vertical beam, the table and 3 pt hitch is from a scrapped snow blower, the bottom legs are from a junkyard scrap find from work that was originally built to hold big steel boxes. The cylinder pushes down on a sleeve that slides on beam to keep the overall height to a minimum. it has a winch mounted at the top to pull in large pieces or to lift the slide if loaded with a bunch of smaller ones. eventually I want to have a dump trailer located at table so blocks and whatever smaller pieces slide down to be either split or directly placed on skids. then I'll add a thumb to the loader forks and hold the wood up to cut and block so I don't have to do any bending over.

Do you have photos of how you get the logs up on the table?

Good job. As my stomach, grows bending over takes more out of me than actually doing the work.

actually I use forks to set them on the wagon or block them on the ground and then lift them up with the loader then I just roll them to the table . Next year I plan on putting a thumb on my forks and then hold the logs up waist high over a dump wagon and then tilt it enough to gently roll them back to the table, then slide to the splitter. It does feel great to do a bunch and still feel like looking for something more to do instead of limping to the couch.

That is a mighty big supply of firewood trees in the background.

I'm using the JD 3130 on it, I wish I could use that IH in the background but my lever can't reach the hydraulic lever with the cab on it. It would be nice if I had the loader to move skids while the splitter is in use but maybe someday.or maybe I could add a dedicated valve to run the splitter with that tractor.Hmmm
