homemade hpx lift kit.

i got some info from a buddy on another web sight and he posted a picture of the lift kit he bought. well it turned out that all you need for the kit is a 1''1/2 threaded nipple 2''s long and two flat washers with the o.d of 1''3/4 . you then take the shock and slide itout of the bottome houseing and insert one washer first the the nipple and then another washer on top.then drop the shock back into the mount and secure the bolts and walla you have a 2'' lift kit it cost me $5.55 for the parts at my local true value hardware store.

Was the other lift kit you mentioned something like $28? I found one while searching for gator accesories. JC

yep thats it. all it is is 4 aluminum 1'' by 1''3/4 o.d spacers. all i did was take my tape measure down to the hardware store and find a nipple that matche the decription of the washers . but they didn't have any so i got the two washers and the closest nipple i could find to 1''3/4 o.d . and sandwiched it in beyween the washers . it works the same and instead of about 33.00 bucks with chippin it cost me 5.55 the washer's were like 29 cents a piece and the nipples were a dollar something. so all you need is 2 nipples and 4 washers.and about 30 minutes of spare time and walla.

This lift is only for the front correct?

yes you are correct it is only for the front.at the present time me and a buddy are workin on some spacers for the rear shocks out of 3/16 plate . i'll keep you posted and post some pics of them after they are finished.
