Any of you folks have dogs that were born and raised on your place? CD was born on Easter day in our basement, got his name from the first letters of Chester (a distant cousin) and my FIL (Dean).
He has spent his entire life here, he is six. Loves to hunt, find and point birds. He's a calm dog in the kennel and very seldom barks. His mother and father were both trained by me, I still have his dad Moe. (His sire is the dog under my username.)

Good Afternoon Oleozz,
Nice lookin dog !

I remember when I had my weimeraner, we would go out walkin in the fields, and old Fritz would invariably find some nice cow pies to roll in ! :(

Never did quite understand that, but I didnt particularly like havin to wash him off when I brought him home ! ;)

Hi Scotty---Thanks. Dogs do seem to love anything smelly or dead.
I was working a youngster yesterday on my neighbor's field, he went on a spectacular point, a can ran out and he took out after him. He picked the cat up in his mouth and at that exact moment I "stimulated" him with the ecollar. He thought the cat was giving him a terrible thrashing and immediately dropped the cat. Hopefully he learned a lesson but he does seem a bit thick skulled at times.

nice looking dog there ole ozz. i wish my dog was born and raised at my place, however hes a rescue that we got from georgia. i guess its good for his sake that we adopted him when we did because he was in a kill shelter. hes a lab/german shorthair mix. so hes a bit crazy i've been working w/ him for birds and i did hunt him last year and for just about no training he did fairly well. he's terrible around cats if they run and our flock of chickens, he will point them all day long and try to retrieve them its kinda amusing to watch.

Thanks for the kind words about CD. Here is a pic of Rocky, he is not home grown, came from Delaware and was a gift. He has a black nose, a must for many Southern dog folks, they think a black nosed dog does better in the heat.
