I have replaced the seal on the hydraulic motor itself, and it is still leaking hydraulic fluid into the track motor hub, and blowing the seals out. Does anyone know what else could be wrong in the track motor or a valve stuck and the hitachi dealers will not tell me a thing. I have a very expensive machine dead in the water . I have spend almost 1,000. replacing the seals and it still is blowing fluid. Any help would be most appreciated.

Blowing seals sounds to me like pressure is to high.

I know that mechanics 'balance' the pressures from time to time, perhaps you need to look into that.
I know that many excavators have more than one pump and that they get 'paralled' to provide more traction or power in some cases as required.

An example is when a bucket has more power dumping than clawing a balancing routine is in order, or when a stick pushes more than it pulls etc.

Get a pressure guage and 'T' it in line and see if your meet specs.

I'm sure that all those specs would be found in your manuals (shop for sure).

Good luck.

Have you checked the case drain on the motor? Plugged drains will blow seals.

Check the relief valve for correct setting.

Yes, so the motor is basically like a pump except the oil makes it rotate instead of the other way around. The mechanism (pistons or meshing gears) leaks a certain amount of oil into the motor housing or case. If this cannot drain back to the tank without a lot of backpressure, this will blow out the seals. The return line may be pinched or something blocked. The outer (environmental) seals are not designed to withstand the internal operating pressure of the motor. Frequently 35psi is all they can deal with.

Are you getting hydraulic oil in the gearbox? or is the gearbox lube oil leaking out?
