Hinomoto C174 do I need a new hydraulic pump?

Trying to get this thread in the right place. Sorry. I have noticed my lift pressure is slowly decreasing over time and getting weaker. I have changed the transmission fluid and spin on filter and it helped a bit but I feel it should be higher pressure, easier to raise implements. I looked through all my Simplicity and Allis Chalmers books and have some pics of secondary strainers but I'll be darned if I can find one on mine. Does anyone know if there IS a strainer other than the spin on filter on this unit? If so, where exactly might it be? If not I will have to get a new pump soon and can't find one for a C174. Any suggestions? Thanks again

Why not start with buying a pressure gauge (less than $30) and part of a quick coupler to allow you to connect into your system and find out what pressure your system is putting out.
It may just need a relief valve adjusted.
A gauge of 0-3000 psi with a 2-1/2" face will work nicely.

This gauge is a higher pressure than you need but is just to give you an idea of appearance.
Your local hydraulic shop will have a more appropriate pressure one.
