Oil & Fuel HI. My BX2370 leaks from the hydraulic drain port.

This is my first time owning and maintaining a tractor. It started leaking from the the hydraulic fluid drain port. Does the sealing shim need to be changed with each UTD fluid replacement? I saw no such requirement listed in the manual. What els could cause the leak? I did not leave it loose or overtighten the drain plug when I reinstalled it.

Depending on the style of seal yes it might need to replaced with every oil change.

If it is a copper disk I would heat it with a torch red hot and let it cool. That will aneal it, softer. I would put a vacuum on the fill hole to remove plug so you keep the oil in the machine and put together with the anealed washer

Ive seen these with simply a bit of gunk under washer preventing tight seal. Ones that didnt bother running a rag around hole before sealing.
