Hi All,

I hope I can add to discussions on rural living. I have lots of questions and alos hope for some good advice. I have a nice place with a year-round creek and small house. But the place has been badly neglected for years. It needs repair and development. Gonna be a challenge.

The latest projects I'm working on at my 20 acre forested property are: developing a spring for domestic water use, installing a water heating coil in my wood stove, and controlling some bad weed infestations.

Hi Michele welcome to TBN. I'm apparently uneducated and too lazy to google so where are the Trinity Mtns? I'm curious to see how your water heater works out hope you post pics. 7

Welcome to the forums. My wife & I lived in the Weaverville area for years, so I am familiar with your location. We currently lived in SW Oregon, on 30+ acres. We utilize two spring water collection systems for residential use. Glad to have you on board!

The Trinity Mountains are in northern California between Redding and the Coast. My location is closer to Redding in this jumble of mountains, so there is ridge after ridge between my place and the ocean; I'm in the rain shadow and its hot, really hot in summer. 105 degrees Wednesday.

I'll post up pics when I get something to show.
