Hi from Texas with the smallest of JDs...

I'm glad to have found this forum. I have the smallest of John Deere's, a 2305 with QD front-end loader (which I love) and a belly mower that lives on the tractor because I failed to get the QD version (dealer did not tell me about it :-( ).

I have an immediate question about CycloneRakes and will post a separate query about them. I will say that I need to learn how to use the search engine here; I was unable to locate threads on the CR and I'm sure they exist. Perhaps someone can give me a hint on how to do proper (effective) searches...

Welcome. Think you maybe need to search for "landscape rakes". Just a Google search will often turn up threads here.

I went with the 4010 but looked at the 2305 at that time. Glad I didn't. Don't think the 2305's underneath cooling fan would have survived what I used the 4010 for. Like you though, I never removed the loader on the 4010. Got the QD one on the 1025 but wish that JD produced something like a 1018 or 1019, maybe a 1018S, the "S" for the split brakes in addition to the "R" stuff on the 1025. Don't need that extra hp, but would love to have my split brakes.
