I am recently widowed but have an amazing set of tools and equipment I am learning how to use and maintain. I have a BX23 with the front loader, backhoe, grass catcher and snow blower. I am pretty self sufficient and an engineer by education so I feel pretty good about keeping up with the general maintenance myself. My husband and I really enjoyed working around the yard (both having desk jobs) but it is a lot for one person. I am in the process of figuring out what I can/should do, and what I should just write a check to have others help me out. I just had a friend help me swap out the mower deck for the snow blower (absolutely needed in WI) as I have a long driveway and large concrete pad between the garages on my 3-acre slice of heaven. This will be my first year plowing myself so wish me luck! I already found a you tube video about replacing the shear bolt as this was something my husband did often when he first started clearing our snow. Glad to have found this site and appreciate the kindness shown to newbies!
