Yes I was a headteacher of Primary schools in the UK.

I know nothing about your schools, but in the USA, I'm surprised they can hire enough teachers with such low salaries. Our school taxes are high, but I'm afraid only a small part of that gets to the teachers. I have great respect for anyone who can do that job.

Yes, I have to agree. I was glad when I retired and I was only in front of children teaching for an average of six hours per week when teachers needed release or were sick.
