Although I have never owned this particular brand of mower a person can buy a very bad mower. I have. I spent more time fixing it than mowing.

That is a steal. My local store had them in stock a few years back and a friend bought the 6' version. Only issue he has had is the wheels are cheap and he finally replaced them. He mows 4 acres each and every week for 3 seasons now with no other issues.

I am not implying this is a quality item, with that said, I don't think associating price to judge quality is a wise decision. The quality of an item should be judged with out regard to the asking price of the item.

I'm not very keen on purchasing anything from Horrible Freight that costs more than about $20. That's about my high end on what I'm willing to gamble with their extremely questionable merchandise.

For $375, I would at least have a look at one. After all, a mower doesn't have to be perfect to be functional. I would think that if the main components appear to be decent (PTO shaft, gearbox, pulleys and bearings), then there is no reason why it wouldn't be worth a try - if you're in the market for a finish mower. It's probably just a little of half price of any other new units that I've seen.

That being said, if the gearbox shreds, the bearings toasts, the blades fall off and can only be purchased from a store located in Inner Mongolia that's only open on 5th Tuesday, then maybe it's not worth anything!
