DDT,
After my Grandpop passed, I cleaned out his sheds of various chemicals that might be difficult to dispose of if classified as waste.
Attached is a pic of an old 1 gallon metal can of Black Flag DDT.
Thought you might like it for an avatar.
Cheers, edski

If the can is empty and you have no use for it, I would pay the postage to get it here..... I love old cans of all types. If it has product in it, then shipping would be a problem. I have found that when I want to get rid of a hazardous waste product like this, I pour it into sawdust and place in to the trash. This is what I was told to do many years ago by the trash people. ...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If I remember right they do want you to get the chemical out of the metal cans. The cans do deterioate.

I picked up a pristine maple syrup can at a flea market a few years ago and it was full. The cover was on so tight that I couldn't get it off until I was home and had a pair of pliers to use. When I got it open, it was filled with old motor oil. Glad that I didn't pay much for the can and contents. The seller was asking $25 and I offered $5. He took it..... I am certain that he knew what was in that can..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I would certainly like to add this one to the Junkman collection.... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Junk,
There's still about a quart left.
It's good for "special" applications, like keeping wasps from nesting in my trailer's AC unit. The stuff lasts all summer.
Or just taking a sniff now and then. Makes me feel like a kid again, riding my bike behind the city's fogger truck in the old neighborhood. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
When the can is empty, you've got first dibs.
Don't be surprised if the can shows up full, used Super UDT of course. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
