The Hesston inline balers seem good to me, I looked at a 4570 nice baler. I still use an old New Holland, share with neighbor. With my fields, I'll go to an inline when I upgrade, either a Hesston 45xx or MF 1839 or 1840. I do feel capacity will be better, but really, for what I do, that's not a big issue. More inline maneuverability is what I'm looking for. And I have a close MF dealer that seems very good.

The Hesston actual model 4500 might be a offset style, I'm not sure. The Hesston numbers confuse me a little. The Hesston 4550 is what I own and it's the smallest inline in the 45xx series. The one I have has a 60" pick-up. I've only made about 25 bales with it so far off my 1-1/4 acres. I shopped around and I read real good reviews on the AGCO inline balers. I live in the PNW WA state and had I to buy this one out of Texas because the small used inline balers are real scarce here. As you probably know Hesston, Massey Ferguson, Case IH and Challenger are all supposed to be the same machine. If you find one even close to your price range, buy it, you won't be sorry. bjr

I've got a 4500 Heston. It has been a really good baler. Just chugs right along

I run a Hesston 4550 and love it. Good bales even with inconsistent windrows.

bjr is correct - the Hesstion 4500 model is an offset unit from what I know.

My 4500 is offset. I haven't seen many like it tho

I have been looking at the inlines also and was not aware they made Case balers at all. Case and NH are same company but they are not part of Agco. Are you sure Agco is making balers for them? Do understand all the Agco inlines are same machines.

Its a real mix out there. However all inline's were made the same regardless the branding. I don't know who bought whom when, but Case / IH / Hesston / Agco are the same, just a different label and paint from what I know. My Hesston has an Agco label too. Somewhere here I posted the similar models when I was searching for my baler.

Hope this helps

Case had a deal with Hesston prior to the agco buy out

I believe Hesston is the only maker of inline, small square balers in the US. They paint them different colors for Case, Challenger, and Massey Ferguson. I have a 4600 and I believe that model was their first inline small baler.
