2003 New Holland TC40D

After watching the post's here and taking advice from the experts. I purchased this 2003 TC40D from Baxla Tractor Sales in Seaman Ohio. It is a hydro, with only 475 hours on. I bought 20 acres about 2 years ago and getting into the food plots for deer and did some lumbering off a couple weeks ago and have a lot of tops to take care of and cut up for firewood. I'm guessing it will take me a year to do. I look forward to learning more and contributing, if I can to this site. Thanks Again!

Welcome to TBN Michigander II! Our tractors are very similar and you will be amazed at what your TC40D will do in the woods. From the looks of your picture, a nice grapple might be in your future to help clean up from the logging operation. Attachments can become a disease! Enjoy your new tractor and be safe in the woods.

Looks great. Also looks like it needs rear weight.

Michigander,

Nice machine! I recently chose a similar tractor. I too had to buy something powerful to complete some clearing projects. My grapple is coming this week...and my tractor is just waiting to pick up piles of brush/debris.

Are your rear tires filled? What attachments have you purchased?

We are great at giving advice on spending money. :D

Congrats on your new investment michigander II.

Good equipment for those projects won't seem like work.

Very nice Michigander II. That tractor looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Do you have hooks welded to the top of the bucket? I can't see them in the picture and was curious as to how the chains were hooked up. That grill guard will sure save your front end. When working close to a trailer like you are with the logs, you don't have to worry if you bump the trailer putting logs on the far side of the trailer.

Yesterday was just a trial to see how it worked in the woods. I do need to fill the rear tires! I did make this 3 pth attachment to pull some of the tops out of the woods.

And yes I need to weld some hooks on top. That is on the agenda today. Thanks for all the tips!

Hi MII! Welcome aboard. You have a great lookin' machine there. I see you have rear remotes. What attachments, if any, do you have that uses them?
