Help with sticking float on Ford 600 series

My 600 has a float that sticks way too often. If the tractor sits the gas will pool in the air intake. Any suggestions?

I may just have to do a carb rebuild. It has one of the old Marvel carbs.

It's probably just some crud betwixt the needle and seat... but.. you should be turning the fuel valve off for safety anyway.

Go ahead and flip for the 'small' rebuild kit ( no float ).. and a can of carb cleaner... If that is the only probelm, you should be good to go.. A toothpick polishes the float set nicely.

I like the marvel carbs a whole lot better than the zenith.

check to see if the sediment bowl needs to be serviced..
