Yes, I do believe they are the original bars, as you can see they need to be replaced. I do have the short bar that you mentioned would hold the unit from lifting, just not too sure how it is put in action.

I have a different brand of tractor but I see the same thing that Bob sees, it looks as thought the lower arms (not the adjustable links) are overly long. They may just appear that way buy they certainly seem longer than they should be.

Was looking through my old post and I never posted the solution. I dropped the backhoe for another project and noticed that the lift arms where not adjusted properly. After adjusting so the horizontal bar could rest on top of the lift arms and be pinned to the Drawbar tongue it all worked great. No more lifting and much more solid.

I have a L245 Kubota and purchased a bhm 5 backhoe. I have bent Two top center pins so far. Does anyone have photo and ideas how to secure this into place so I stop bending the top bar. It is a double adjustable type with support bars from center bar to levelers????? Help please these bars are expensive.. Mike
