Penned a deal on a new '06 DuraMax/Allison at Supplier pricing when the 0% was announced. Supposed to sign and pick up today. The 'buddy' with the certificate # is out-of-town! Can you help?

Thanks

In my area (Detroit), I have always found that I could get a better deal without the supplier discount. That may have changed with the 0%. Go back to the dealer and tell him you cannot get the # until next week. I'll bet the deal goes through without the #.

Thanks Ron, I had no choice but to call and tell them I couldn't get out there by 5pm closing today. I haven't quit looking, but if I can't pick up a GMRS# I may have to just give it a go tomorrow without. I've seen stranger things happen than a dealer turning down a big sale, but it still wouldn't surprise me. Oh, the d-r-a-m-a! Lol, this will be my 1st diesel P/U and I have to admit, I'm actually even a teensy bit excited about putting myself into hock for 6(!) years with OPM. In this case, the discount is worth about $700 so I'd like to find it if possible.

Well, one more diesel P/U convert today. 0%/72mo. and The General's 'GM in the Driveway' program did just that. :D

Great looking truck. I've wanted a Max and Allie for a long time, I just find it really hard to justify the money over a gas engine. I guess I feel like if they want to charge me an extra $6000 (soon to be $9000, thank you US government) for the Max, I'd pay it if they'd throw the gas engine already figured into the base price of the truck in the bed so I could have that too. I feel like they want to charge me twice and only give me one engine. I guess I'll stick with my '03 Z71 with a 5.3 for a while.

My B-I-L just bought a New Chevy with the Duramax. He didn't have a supplier discount but the dealer said that he would "look around" and find him one so he could cut the deal. Within 1/2 hour the dealer said he found one and let my B-I-L use it.
When a dealer wants to sell a vehicle it is almost magical how the loop holes appear.
