Craftsman DLT 3000
Hey fellas, need your help. Had a Craftsman DLT 3000, but it was damaged pretty good when a crack junkie stole it. Ended up getting it back, but it was never the same. Put a few more years of mowing an acre and it finally got to be where I have been replacing part after part and I'm tired of it. Finally it "died" so I'm looking. I'm going to post links to mowers in my area as I see them on Craigslist and I'd appreciate if you could give me any feedback. Keep in mind I have a full acre I need to mow every week about 9 months a year or my two little kids will get lost in the yard!

Anything smaller than 42" I'm not real excited about and budget for this is tight as we have had a number of unexpected expenses hit all at the same time recently.

Anyways, if you could give your feedback on the ones I put on here, I'd be thankful. Also, please let me know what you'd offer for them or would you walk away at this price? Thanks!

Hi , Ruger.. Cub Cadet with 50'' or 54'' deck , right now Cub Cadet is offering 0% for 24 months , with minium purchase of $1,500.00 . ( at participating dealer 3/1/12 thru 5/31/12 ) So what ever total purchase is with taxes , ect. divid that by 24 , and thats your monthly payment . Just a thought , I did this in 06' with an LT-1024 50'' , ran about $86.00 a month back then. Plus you get a new mower , with a warranty . Just my 2cents . Good luck .

Ruger,
I looked at all the ads you put up and several of them seemed okay, the problem I have with recommending any of them is no way to tell what kind of shape these are in without being there.

If you want a used mower I recommend you look them over well to see for yourself what kind of condition they are in. I would look at the L110 closely and see how well it's transmission works, if it is strong and fast enough I would give it the nudge. That would be the cheapest risk of your money.

I would also say that I would prefer to buy a new Deere x320 with the K58 transmission. This is the best bang for the buck in Deere's riding mowers(imo) and can be financed for 48 months if necessary. With proper care this no frills lawn tractor should last you many years mowing an acre of lawn.

Did you go look at it?

Guy just posted it tonight and I just got home to see it. I work a TON of hours and this one is about 40 minutes ONE WAY away so I was hoping to get some feedback from someone who knew the mower. Assuming it's in poor, fair, good condition what would you be thinking it's worth? Worth a trip out? Any questions I should be asking before going out?

Appears to be a nice machine. I'm just not a Briggs fan. $650 sound like a great price to me.

That 2550 sounds like a good deal, and would be a great deal at 8 or 900 bucks.

The extra transmission is a RED FLAG. The transmission has been replaced. A good bet is that the mower has the infamous K-46 transmission and the current owner or a previous owner replaced the transmission and is trying to sell the unit before another transmission has to be installed.
