Help Please with MF planter ID

I am looking to see if any of you guys can identify this planter. My wife and I inherited it from my Father in law that passed a couple of years ago and we wanted to start using it. All he ever said about it was that he had gotten it doing some "horse trading" :confused3:... It has no tags or labels on it but best i can tell it is a Model 37.. Anyone familiar with this unit?? What plates do i need to plant field and sweet corn?? How will it do with no fertilizer hopper.. Just new at most of this but VERY willing to listen to all advise..

I have a Model 39 two row Massey Ferguson Planter, but I don't know enough about the old planters to id yours. I'd recommend you contact an AGCO dealer for id and parts, and or "Jacks Small Engines" for parts. Sweets Tractors might be able to id it for you as well. My planter works really well with field corn and sweet corn. I think you'd be able to apply fertilizer and disc it in or apply it after you plant and just before it rains.

So Barneyhunts does this look like your Model 39 planter??? Also have you been able to find plates for it? Also what plates you use to plant sweet/ field corn?? I am going to hook up this planter and bring it to the house and start going over it soon. just not sure of the plates and plate hole size
