Hello All-

New to the tractor and need some help. Just inherited this 2001 JD 4100 loader. Just bought a 4100 60" mow deck on craiglist. Changed the gear box oil- The mower is in excellent shape. Has two mounting brackets-black with "L" bends at the end. Two turnbuckles on either bracket and a cross member type black bar as well. The mower deck itself had two hooks up front and the two spring loaded hooks in the rear. I get how the gear hooks up to the mid PTO but how does the deck hook to the machine and the brackets play in. I'm sure this is stupid but i figured I'd ask.

I can't help you with your question, but if you go to the John Deere web site, parts section, you can search by model. Just type in the tractor model, search for your implement and you should get an illustrated parts breakdown. That way you may be able to see if all the parts are there and perhaps get an idea of the connecting orientation with the tractor.
