Hi All I have been watching posts here for some time and I appreciate the informed conversation, it has helped me make my decision on Kubota. This is my question I feel comfortable with auto pricing because there is a MSRP you can work with but with tractors I'm lost. I live in NC. but will be buying tractor for property in VA. I've decided on either the Kubota B7800 with HST or the L3400 with HST..now to my question is there room in regular dealer pricing to work with a % off like in autos so far 3 dealers have given me there "ball park " price and there all within a few dollars. Your experience with these dealerships would be appreciated. (all 3 by the way have been very helpful and professional). respond here or to my email jce28115@yahoo.com..Thanks in advance

My dealer quoted me 10% off list on anything he had in his inventory - we went from there. The amount you'll end up with is a function of the following (at a minimum):
• Location - how much does it cost him to be in business (utilities, taxes, etc)
• Number of tractors on his lot (Kubota only lets them keep tractors on the lot free of charge for so long - usually 6-12 months, after which the dealer starts paying... This gives him more incentive to move tractors (and saves you money!)
• How much you're buying - the more you buy, the more inventory he moves and the better deal you can get (like a volume discount)
• What you're buying - he has no reason to make you an awesome deal on a tractor that is in high demand (i.e. if you don't buy it, the guy standing behind you will)
