Tractor
John Deere 5090E
I'm looking for a 65-75 hp tractor, 4x4, with loader and no cab. I have been to multiple dealers and have read forums until my eyes hurt. I will be using the tractor mainly to bushhog and loader work in my shop, i.e. I like to hobby metal work. I really want to find a 3-4 year old, low hour, none emissions tractor but after so much wasted time on cons and junk and with the low %rates on new, I'm leaning towards a new one. I have ruled out JD, Mahindra, and Kioti due to multiple reasons on each. I'm really looking at Case Farmall 70c, New Holland T4.75 and Kubota M7060.

My main hold back on the Kubota is the DPF filter. Other than that I really like it. I went and tried a Case and everything felt right about it but the price. I have not seen a NH in person yet but have been told they are a carbon copy of the Case? My main hold back on the NH is that resell seems really low online in my area( I don't plan to sell but don't want to put myself in a bind in the future) and the closest dealer is 1.5 hours away.

Can y'all help me decide on these three and is there any others I should look at?

The way I understand it the Case/New Holland are the same tractor. For what it's worth a friend of mine purchased a NH 4.75 last year and is looking to trade it right now.Lots of little problems with his.

That's the reason I'm hesitant on the NH, reviews are mixed. Most problems and minor but....

It's your money, it's your decision.

For me, in that HP range, it would be a Kubota M7060. But like you, I have reservations about the emissions DPF system.

If I could find a M7040, I wouldn't be asking. LOL. I keep hearing horror stories on Kubota's DPF. Hopefully someone with a M7060 with chime in with better info than I have.

What horror stories would that be? My dpf is virtually not noticeable. The only problems I have heard of are the morons who refuse to follow very simple guidelines when the tractor goes into regen. Don't listen to that bs out there would be my opinion.

Mainly, if used for extended time at low rpm, like in my shop or other loader work, I would have to do a parked regen that could take up to 45 minutes.

I share STEPPENWOLE's benign experience with Tier IV. My 2013 Kubota L3560 signals it needs to regenerate every 60 engine hours. Regeneration takes 16 minutes at 2,200 rpm, parked in my driveway.

Regeneration uses approximately $1.00 of diesel fuel every 60 engine hours.

That is one minute of regeneration time for every 3.75 engine hours. Hardly a burden.

Read M7060 REGEN/REGENERATION threads in the T-B-N archive: Google

Just food for thought. Nothing more, nothing less. I bought a NH Workmaster 50 last year with a 621 FEL. No issues in 11 months and 95 hours. No DPF. Utilizes a catalytic converter. Less complicated, less issues. Only available in mechanical shuttle. They have the 50, 60, and 70. Not as much tactor as the T4.75. The FEL is strong. Classified as a compact utility. 5K weight. Case has the exact same unit but I am not sure the number. I don't plan on selling my tractor but around here NH sells well.

Sounds like a Farmall A series. I'm really leaning towards the NH.
