Kubota/ B7500/with 2000 lb winch
I have a B7500 with a 60" MMM and it works fine.It operates on the rear PTO to lower and lift. I want to pin it in the up position so I can use the rear PTO for my roto tiller without taking the MMM out from under it.Now if I put the roto tiller on, the MMM and the tiller raises and lowers together.OK, Here is the problem, their is 4 connectors that hold it in the UP position and the 2 in the front are no problem because they just use pins to hold them up but the back has brackets that does'nt seem to want to work at all. With the MMM in the up position there is tension on the brackets and you cannot get the brackets to line up.I have worked on this for almost a week now and still come up with a dead end.The brackets need flexability and they don't have this.I even tried to make my own brackets.,(not a pretty site) and they look like XXXX!!!!!!.What can I do now????????????
Donny

P.S. I hope I did'nt confuse you too much.

OK silly question, but when lift the deck into the UP position, is it too high UP? If so, while the front is pinned in the UP position, can you slowly adjust down the 3pt until the holes for the rear pins line up properly and you can slide the pins through?

On the front I use 2" bolts to slide in the holes and on the rear the "bracket" is suppose to be mounted to the 1 1/16 hole on the frame and when the deck is raised you are suppose to be able to use "L" shaped pins which is spring loaded to hold up the deck. The deck(When in the UP position)has too much tension on it to pull out the "L" pins so I tried to reverse the bracket.I lowered the deck (which took the tension off the "L" pins and put the bracket on it first and then tried to raise the deck but the bracket will not go back on the frame without flexing. I've read my manual and it shows to pull the "L" pins out but it cannot be right.Way too much tension. If you have a MMM on your tractor look and see what I'm talking about. I really don't want to take my MMM out every time I want to use my 3 pt. hitch.

Well I can't offer any more help. The tractor I use with a MMM is not a Kubota and the Kubota I use does not have a mower! I was just offering up a Hail Mary play that maybe you had not considered.

Thanks, I may have to use a bigger hammer. This might give it more flexability. Hopefully I will have it figured out by the weekend.I'm ready for a garden.

don726 - I have a 2003 B7500 HSD with the RCK60-24B MMM. Only the (2) front pins are used to hold the MMM in the raised "transport" position. The rear (2) brackets are used to hold up the lift mechanism while the MMM is removed from the tractor. With the MMM pinned up in the transport position, the MMM will move up/down slightly when the 3ph is raised/lowered. Refer to the Operation Section of your MMM Operator's Manual, "Using 3 point hitch attachment or front loader" (my p. 25) and "Removing the mower deck" (my p.26).

Yep,,, that's how my B2910 works too!!! Only the front pins hold the MMM in the raised position.

I've found on my 7800 that it is just easier for me to take the deck off when using a 3pt. implement. Even when pinned up, it still doesn't have much clearance and a couple of times I noticed I was really beating the MMM up with the wheels catching on stuff, etc.
But then again I can take the deck off in about 5 minutes and put it back on in about 10 minutes or so. On my old 7200 taking the deck off required tools, a jack and about an hour or so.
It seems like my 7800 only has the two spots to pin the deck up.

Well I tried just pinning the front up only and it worked pretty good. The back only fell about a inch when I lowered the deck.I did notice that the deck bounces a little more that way.I played around with it and made a bracket of sort and it works. It's just made to kindly help hold up the rear of the deck. It's just a small chain with a piece of metal with a crook on the end.The deck has some 3/8" holes in the back and it's just right for the bracket with a crook in it.It stopped the bounce so problem solved.

Now my new problem is I think the driveshaft for my new tiller is too long.I tried to hook it up and it would'nt fit.I can adjust it longer but not shorter. Is this suppose to be like this? Do I need another driveshaft? It does have a slip clutch and looks complicated to remove.

I had to cut the drive shaft on my tiller. I cut equal amounts off each piece and that allowed it to telescope better. Just be careful not to cut too much off. I cut mine with a battery powered reciporcating saw while it was still hooked up to the tiller. However when I added Pat's easy change system, it changed the dimensions and now my PTO shaft is just long enough.
I'm guessing the Yanmar PTO shaft is the same as others use (the two piece telescoping). Cut one piece at a time and then put it on the tractor and move the tiller up and down not running to see how the clearance is.

Well, I did cut about 6" off each side of the shaft in 3" increaments and it worked fine.Once I got it working right I made one heck of a garden spot.I lowered the depth guage all the way and it ate up the ground.I tilled up a 50x80 in about 30min. and it looks like powder. That's one GREAT piece of machinery. Now that's the way to till a garden.

They are amazing. Once you use one behind the tractor, it is hard to ever use a walk behind. My dad's JD 8hp rear tine tiller sets in the building now since I got my Woods tiller for the tractor.
