Help Indentifying model and year of my "new to me" MF.

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and completely new to tractors. I bought a tractor to hopefully be able to maintain a fairly long, steep driveway we have at our family cabin. I know it's a Massey and I believe it's an industrial as it has "MF 40". I need to get a repair manual ordered asap as she needs some repairs like brakes, power steering, and the TPH won't come up.

The previous owner wasn't a "tractor guy" as isn't much help. identifying

From what I've been able to find, Massey made the 40, 40B, and 40E TractorData.com - Massey Ferguson tractors sorted by model .

The 40B looks different than yours. And the 40E had a turbo and some had front wheel drive according to this: Massey Ferguson 40e - Yesterday's Tractor Co. (#124265)

So you would probably be safe ordering the manual for the Massey Ferguson 40 industrial.

Thanks Don. I was leaning towards the same thing (MF 40 Industrial). When a manual costs $100 I wanted to be sure.
