help identifying old ford hydraulic controls

Hi,
I'm not sure which part of the forum to post this thread.
I've an old Ford Tractor with a very large belt driven Holman Brothers compressor on the back with tanks mounted under the axle.

Does anyone know what model/year this would be? 1968?

I'm in need of advice on the feasibility of removing the compressor and installing a 5' bush hog. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Before I start removing the compressor I figured it would be worthwhile to make sure the hydraulics can be repaired. There has been no need for hydraulics on this tractor for the last twenty years.
Can anyone identify the different controls under the seat?

Wow what a beast! That compressor sure would be a grunter, the tractor looks like a super major from early 1960's, you should keep it as is and buy an old 4000 or 5000 for the brush Hog!

I'd really like to keep the compressor on but at the same time, I use the compressor less than twice a year and could really use a bush hog for relatively light duty twice a month.
Only thing this tractor has needed in the last 15 years has been the Simms injector pump rebuilt and that was likely due to the poor quality of diesel it was subjected to running.

Any idea where the hydraulic pump is located on this machine? My first guess is right under the seat (there appears to be a valve body here with a aux. line running aft.). However, I am worried that the pump may have been taken off to make room for the compressor if the pump was mounted on the rear of the machine.
