Tractor
LK3054
Hello all,

I have a LK3054 that I bought new last year. It has been a GREAT tractor so far.

But today I have no idea what happened. I was moving dirt to the back of my property and when I tried to push my clutch in and it just wouldn't come out of gear. I had to shut tractor off to stop moving.

I have check the visible linkages underneath and they seem fine. The pedal now seems mushy and falls through half of its range and won't go as far down as before?? It won't even go down far enough to hit the clutch safety switch so I can start it to at least move it up back to my house.

I would really love anyones opinion on this. This is really saddening for me as I have babied this thing and it only has 46 hours on it?

Also, Any opinions on how much this costs to fix if it is totally shot clutch?? Is it something I could do myself with service manual?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If you bought the tractor last year it should be coverd under warranty. I would take it in to the dealer you purchased from and have them take a look at it. Something does not sound right.

Small problem with that actually. I have moved since buying it in Illinois to michigan. Does the manufacturer warranty travel? IE can I take it to a dealer around here (there is one about 15 miles away in manchester) and still have warranty work done to it??

Yes It is a Nationwide Warranty, honored at any Kioti dealer. Just tell the dealer you just moved.

The mfg pays for the warrantee work, any Kioti dealer will take care of you.

I bet if you check, you'll find that the clutch stop bolt on the floor under the clutch pedal has vibrated loose and is stopping the clutch pedal too early. Readjust and I think you'll be back in business.

OK. I am a dummy.

It turned out that I hit a rock(guessing) and it bent the linkage to the clutch sideways. So when I would push down on clutch pedal the linkage wasn't fully disengaging. A little bending with a pair of vise grips and I was back in business. What a scare though.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix. If it was mine, I would order a new linkage rod to make sure the adjustment is good.
