Its 7am and I'm standing next to my 4300 that I used to disk a food plot this am. Turned the key to the left and it keeps running. Scratching my head a bit I decide to just turn the pto on and get off the seat. That will at least temporarily fix it right. Nope. None of the safety shut offs work. With an old push mower I know the ole screw driver kill trick... With this?????

#1 how do I turn it off now?
#2 what's the deal???

Someone do me a favor and text meif you know a quick answer. I'm gonna keep trying to figure out how to shut her off.

Thanks.

Uhhh yeah. Guess under the pressure that one didn't cross my mind. That'll kill her soon. Thanks!

By the way now gauges are not working. Got some issues to look at

Your fuel shut-off solenoid is stuck. Personally I would NOT shut the fuel off. It is a major PITA to bleed it out. Just try stalling it. IE: put it in gear in high range at idle.

I agree it sounds like a stuck solenoid, but the 4300 is self bleeding so bleeding later should not be a problem. Also it is an HST so kinda hard to stall it.

Ok. I didnt know if it was a self bleeder or not. Were ALL the 4300's HST, Cause I didnt see it mentioned??

Edit....I see HST in his Avitar now :confused2:

Can you move the fuel solenoid manually? Some you can. It sounds to me like you have possibly a blown fuse as your gauges do not work also. Try to kill the tractor by smothering it with a large rag in the air intake. Find and fix the electrical problem that is preventing the fuel solenoid operation, and likely is related to the gauge operation.

That reminds me....

On my L3400, ON the injector pump, there is a manual fuel kill lever also. Similar to what is found on older tractors that had a manual fuel kill (like a choke lever). This lever on MY pump is like what a manual cable would have hooked to.

I know there was a thread on here awhile back about what that lever did cause the manual makes no mention of it.

Started pulling the black square solenoids in the fuse box one at a time. I didn't have my manual handy. The one in the middle killed it when I put it back in. Sounds like I need to pull all the fuses and black boxes out of the panel and clean some connections.

Thanks!
