I just wanted to say hello and tell you thanks for not only providing a lot of info that helped me make that first tractor purchase, but also for the high quality of the content in this site. Great Place!
Perhaps a similar story to some out there - kids are getting grown and "almost" out of the house, and we are increasingly frustrated with subdivision life. We've just bought 12 acres of pasture that we will build home and shop upon, and us city folks are moving to the country. Big change, but that's what life's about sometimes.
I pick up the Kubota this weekend and I'm really looking forward to getting started with all the things that will need to be done. After months of searching and looking at virtually every brand out there I found (stumbled) on an L3000DT with 33 hrs on it at a local dealership, so I wound up with a nice package from them that included loader, mower, BB, PHD, and a trailer. Of course that means I'll also need to upgrade my truck to pull all that hehe.
Best regards to you all.

What more could a man ask for? Congratulations on your new tractor and your move to the country. I guarantee you (and the family) will love it.

Welcome to TBN, and congrats on the new tractor. You just increased your productivity by about a factor of 10, and at the same time saved your back from a heap o' stiff nights.

Sounds familiar, Nick.

You might enjoy reading a thread I started along those same lines, called <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=safety&Number=22933&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1#Post22933>Stupid Tractor Tricks</A>.

That was just the beginning, of course. Last I can recall, GlueGuy's <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=owning&Number=51960&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1#Post51960>Stupid tractor tricks - part 27</A> thread had even more of the same.

It's okay to do dumb things, but ya gotta share 'em with the rest of us.
