Hello - Tennessee new land and tractor owner.

I too have decided to go more off the grid than I have lived prior, raising my children in suburbs. My wife and I recently purchased 30 wooded acres with a pond and a house and I purchased two tractors. A JD 950 with 1900 hours - great machine no smoke, and a Kubota F2400 front deck mower. Love both of them. I have pretty much all of the implements for the 950, except loader and backhoe. So I'm scouring the web for these two pieces of equipment. My land has a lot of hills so I need the loader to help keep the front end down while working on hillsides. I might have posted up once before, if so I apologize. We plan to do mostly landscaping and habitat management on the land and will be doing a lot of planting for sustainable living. (My wife is allergic to just about every animal on the planet).

I'm looking forward to this adventure in my life. Was raised on a farm, and I want my grand kids to see what living rural means. In the process of building a pole barn for my machines. Was going to call them my toys, but then I remembered the days in the Army where we used to sing... 'This is my weapon this is my gun - this ones for fighting this ones for fun'. Having said that I think I'm going to get into some 'Toy' restoration, any suggestions as to which brands and years are the best to start restoring?
