Hello, new to the forums

Good morning. I just wanted to say hello. This site was recommended by a few members of another forum that I frequent so I figured I'l check it out. I'm about to close on 6.5 acres this week that I will be building a house on in the next couple of years. It is pretty much an old hay field so it's going to take more than a Craftsman ride on mower to cut all the grass. As such I'm looking for a compact tractor to take care of the property. I don't plan on finish mowing all the land and will probably just brush hog at least 2 acres worth, but the rest I'd like to keep somewhat nice. I'll probably keep a third acre really nice and tend to it with a regular ride on mower to ensure the nicest cut for the area immediately surrounding the house. I also figure that a front end loader will be just about a necessity for doing push back after heavy snows and for getting some areas cleared properly. So here I am researching tractors. I look forward to posting some questions as they come up and look forward to interacting with all of you in my search for a tractor.

Thanks for the warm reception. I'm going to go play with a couple of tractors around the dealer's dirt pile this Saturday morning. Looking forward to the search.
