Hello,
I'm from the Hudson Valley, NY. I'm a full time blacksmith/bladesmith, my lady is a full time vegetable farmer, and I like to build machines.
I just finished up a '42 Ford 2n, refurbishing, not restoring. It's to be a working tractor on her farm running a cultivator. She has a 135 with a gas perkins, and I just picked up an oddball 135 to refurbish for myself.
Here is a photo of the 2n that I did. Perhaps I should make a post just on this tractor, but the short of it is, the previous owner took it apart and I got it in boxes. I rebuilt the engine and a lot of other stuff. This is how it came out. A fantastic running little tractor.
I dont have a photo of her 135, but I do have a photo of mine. Im not even sure it's actually a 135 to be honest, besides the tins that came with it saying that it is a '72 135. The chassis was painted yellow, it has a 165(?) planetary rear end with discs and locker, and a solid non adjustable front axle with hydraulic steering. It has a generator and not alternator, and a class 2 hitch? 4speed with high/low, one piece wheels with 14.9-24 out back. Who knows... I sure don't. The serial number on the dash is a 9a-xxxxxx.The guts of the engine were in a box when I got it. I just started on it Saturday.
