Hello everyone
I found this site when I started my research on a new compact tractor, and found all the info to be very helpful. Coming from a family where my dad has always owned John Deere I was immediately looking at going green. After talking to a few dealerships and getting pricing I realized that I would need to sell my property to afford a John Deere. I then went to all the other big brands (Kubota, New holland) and found them to be slightly cheaper but still to expensive for my budget. I then started looking at what some would consider the off brands (McCormick, Mahindra, Kioti, LS) from there I have narrowed down my choice to LS.
I find the LS 3037H which comes very well equipped where other machines have a base price and every option adds more and more money to the machine. I haven't purchased the machine but I am in the process of doing so. Need to get some help on what a fair price would be which I will ask in the LS specific forum as well but if your reading this and can help it would be greatly appreciated. I will need to finance and Ive read you pay a little more for doing so. To be specific I am looking at the loader and a rear 72" finish mower, My local dealer carry's land pride which seems like a very good brand. I would need the tires loaded and have hydraulic lines ran to the front in Case I want to run an attachment up there. Also would like the mid mount PTO because in the future I am looking at getting a snow blower.
Now that I have the wants out of the way a little bit more about myself. I have just about 4 acres outside of Muncy PA that I will use the tractor to mow and spread mulch and whatever else my wife comes up with that I can do. My Brother lives about 5 miles away and has 60 acres that he can borrow the machine to bring in wood and whatever else we can into. I am expecting my first child a little girl in October so I am trying to get my purchase out of the way before she comes and the wife shuts down all purchases (Ha ha). I had a kubota zero turn which I just watched drive away the other night on a the back of a trailer to make way for the new machine.
Thanks again for all the great info and I look forward to learning as much as I can and asking questions as them come up
