Kioti CK25
I am a new member, and very new tractor owner. I know nearly nothing about the diesel engine, but am learning quickly. I saw some helpful posts on here and wanted to be part of the community. I just bought a used 2009 Kioti CK25 loader with only 530 hours on it and a Woods backhoe BH70X. So, far I love every minute of using this tractor, and learning about it. The Woods backhoe is amazing. I own 7.5 acres, which are mostly wooded, so I plan to use this tractor to work my small farm and help clear a pasture for our animals.

Welcome to TBN, you've certainly come to the right place, much experience here as I have learned....... I purchased a used JD 790 (diesel) 3 years ago and like you didn't know much about diesels or working with a Compact Tractor. For Winter prep and during winter months I always mix Power Service's Diesel Fuel Supplement (available @ WalMart) more as an anti-gel agent just-in-case. Another additive highly recommended is Sea Foam which I use in both Gas and Diesel. When I purchased my tractor it came with a Front End Loader (FEL) and Belly Mower. I went ahead and purchased a JD 59" Front Mount snow blower and Ballast Box + Rear Wheel Weights and Rear Wheel chains. The snow blower really moves that snow a good 50'. A cheap investment, one of the Racket Rakes that hooks-on to the FEL, really great for removing old brush, popping rocks, doing finish-grade and the list goes on. Log chains - I see your FEL has some chain hooks in the top, always good to have a 20' length on-hand. Lastly, plastic color coded hydraulic line caps/plugs, good to have on-hand when switching out attachments so there's no issues when re-attaching.
