Kioti NX4510
Hello All,
I am a new Kioti NX4510 owner that will be delivered tomorrow. Have lots of seat time planned for this little tractor. I have learned a lot from this site already and I am sure I will have many questions.

I am 47 years old, work in the manufacturing and machining world in Bangor Maine. Have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. My youngest just bought 24 acres of land near our home. The new tractor will be busy working there and on my lot.

My interests are wood working, ham radio, automotive bodywork and painting.

Thanks for reading,
Ed

To TBN ED/kb1luo. What is your equipment? I got started back when I worked part time at a MARS station in the Fareast but had to give it up when I retired and moved.

I am mostly set for vhf/uhf although I do have 2 antennas for HF. I have a 100 foot tower with a 5/8 wave single band 2 meter antenna up at about 110'. I cover a good part of the state with only using low power. My main radios are a Kenwood ts-2000/ Yaesu ft-857d, and a Icom ic-7000. Various HT's and 2 meter rigs. I am thinking I may put a 2 meter rig in the Kioti as it has a full factory cab for when I am clearing driveways in the winter with it. I currently hold a general class license but plan to upgrade to an extra soon.

With all those mobile units, I guess you are using them for work? Which do you like better, the Kenwood or the Yaesu? Are you pushing any linears?

No work involved, just a hobby. The Kenwood is a nice radio and I think it was a great radio when it first came out. Getting a little dated now. The Yaesu is a great little all band mobile radio. Works great on all bands I think. The Icom is a very good ssb radio with great filtering. Not so good on vhf/uhf fm use. I do not own any amps at all. Where my home is I have 2 other hams that are within 1/4 mile so I try to run as little as possible to respect them.
