hello from across the pond

hi all just found this site while researching a problem with my lawnmower,
john deere 145 auto, transmission has given after only 70 hrs work

anyway i live in ireland, have 1 acre of grass to cut and boy does the grass grow fast over here with our weather,
i bought my lawnmower secondhand over a year ago so have no warranty on it ,it,s 2005 model but never used until i got it.worked fine until recently ,slow speed got very jerky and then eventually stopped travelling .
so thanks for all the brilliant ideas and info on rebuilding it if thats what i need to do.
going to strip it down soon and i,ll leave ye know what i find
