I've been a member since September and have spent many hours this winter reading the wealth of information on this site (obsessing is the word my wife uses). I am completely new to tractors and there has not been a single question that I haven't been able to find an answer to by searching these forums. 18 months ago, we moved from town to 5 acres in west central Missouri (just southeast of KC) and, after last summer, came to the obvious conclusion that our little lawn tractor wasn't going to cut it and we needed "a real tractor" (as my wife says - she grew up on a farm). Thanks in large part to the information from this site, I feel much more confident in making a tractor buying decision that will work for us which we plan to finalize this week. Thanks to everyone for a great forum.

Well, the battle is half won if your wife is talking about a "real tractor".
Since you want to make the spouse happy, oblige her and find a real tractor.
Then, post some photos of it here so we can admire your good fortune.

You could do a lot worse things in life than fool around with tractors and machinery.
