Just bought a 3330 V 2003 or 04 about 2900 hours driving it home the thermostat went upto 3/4 hot so I pulled over and parked it to cool down but won't start after an hours parking so drove it to my place next morning the coolant was little low I topped up before driving this time thermostat was 1/2 hot and stayed steady there, It was used by the previous owner to trim his vineyard and had a trimmer in the front so there was a lot of dust in the front I washed the radiator for clogging but not sure if that would work. Any ideas ? Would appreciate the feedback and also any other important info, Thanks

Those machine were manufactured from 01 to 03. You could change and flush your coolant unless you know it's been done. It's also very important for the engine to breathe so always make sure to keep airways cleared and clean.

As a general note, anytime I buy a used machine I grease every fitting, change every filter and replace every fluid just for the piece of mind of knowing its been done with the parts and supplies I trust.

Thanks for the advise ! yeah for sure going through everything wont take too much but would go a long way in saving money and hassle in the long term

Always blow the radiator out with air before washing to help remove more dust/trash. Putting water to it can cause the dirt/trash to solidify blocking it worse.

If it has a brass radiator use oven cleaner. Wet rad. Spray on cleaner wait10 minutes and hose off. If it is really bad do it all again.
This Is NOT FOR ALUMINUM.

I used Simple Green on my New Holland (it was brass) and I was pretty happy with the results. The hydraulic cooler hose in front of the radiator had developed a leak and hydro fluid was sucked through the radiator and blown all over the engine, it was quite a mess. With everything warm I sprayed Simple Green, let it sit for about five minutes then hosed off. Ran tractor for a while to get everything warmed back up and treated the spots which didn't come clean on the first cleaning. The second cleaning got everything.
