Heat wave !!!

An actual 35 degrees and full sun here in mid=Michigan right now, sure feels good after last week's blizzard and blasting wind chills. My seven month old tabby kitten is in seventh heaven, this was his first winter and he probably thought warmer weather was never going to return. I can cope with winter a lot better if we can get a break from the bitter cold once in a while like today is. Hoping others were able to get a taste of springtime too !!!

By the end of the next week they are calling for upper 40's around here in Buffalo NY. I'll take it. I;m getting tired of this snow. The straight blade for my tractor wore out the other day and the V plow could use some help. Hopefully I be better prepared for next winter.

Got up to the mid 40's here today. I would have like to have got some equipment out of the shed today and moved it over to the shop but I figure winter isn't over yet. I am taking inventory on what I need to get everything ready for spring. I will probably go to John Deere this week and get my filters and oil and start getting the tractors ready. I have a sprayer that needs some attention and a monitor to mount on the tractor. I am getting spring fever pretty bad.

We still have snow banks on our front porch and spotty snow in the pastures and woods. Last week up on our border with Kansas it was -31 F and -5 here. We are forecast for 3 days in next several to be in the 70's with 78 F as the warmest day of the next 10. I'm anxious to see if we still have snow and ice in the front (north side) of the house when it hits 78 F.

Just what we need, enough heat to trick the trees into budding and or blooming and then It'l get colder than a witch's mammary in a brass bra and set them back.
