If you have lights on the roll bar then someone has added them along with associated wiring. I have to assume a relay and fuse have been added somewhere. These unknown changes make it very hard to troubleshoot. In fact to separate the taillights from the fender and hood lights implies quite a bit of wiring was changed. I suggest tracing the wiring from those roll bar lights and see if you can find the added parts, such as an extra fuse.
