Haymaking in Norway 2013

Began with the haying season for a couple of days ago, so here is the first video where I cut the grass. The tractor is a Same Explorer 65, from 85 `. Mower is Khun. Will post more videos as I get time to upload.

I farm close to 185 acre with this setup.

Have an old tractor that deserves to be used, a MAN 4R2 from 1958.
Maybe not very productive but fun

Well we on our 4th day of raining. I know we have got around 5 inches of rain so far. Something broke my rain gauge and really got more than that. About 2 weeks ago we got 7 inches in like 4 days. Wow we are WET.

About 4-5 days, the average temprature is around 15C or 59F

Knowing the weather and location, the rest makes perfect sense.

I grow a mix of red clover white clover and engsvingel not sure what it is in english.
Blades stay on baling it hwen it is about 15% moisture

Began to bale hay yesterday, when MF 165 stopped working so the MAN got the job of windrow the hay.
The MAN tractor has a terible turning circle. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to borrow a tractor to drive round bale wraper

Bailing the hay with a Wolagri R500 round bailer. The size of the balls are perfect for those who have a horse or two that is my primary customer group. The horses prefer to eat them up before they are bad and you can handle them by hand

Thanks, there will be some more videos of other equipment when I start to colect hay bales and do contract work

Is almost done with hay, have a customer who will have baled the hay in small square bales.
The bailer is a Cassalis Riviera from the late 50's early 60's

I have not seen a baler quite like that before. It seems to be extremely slow, does it make a standard bale and can it be operated faster?

Oh I see from other youtube videos it works much like an inline square baler does today only much slower.

The reason why I run so slowly in the video is that it is very steep incline. On flat surfaces can I run about 3 times as fast.
The bails weighs about 10 kg and is about 30x50x100cm
