I need to know the lift capacity of the 3pt. (cat 1) for a Ford 1700 (23hp. tractor wt. 2326 lbs.). Tractor Supply sells a 3pt. hay spear for a cat 1, but I'm concerned about the lifting capacity of the hydraulics and stearing. I have a loader and can counterweight. My manuals are little help, but the load capacity of the rear tires is adequate.
My objective it to move round hay bales (about 1500 lbs) from under a hayshed.
Has anyone handled round bales with a 1700?
