I have an old belt link rotary hay rake that fits a 3 point hitch. It does not any markers other than the letters " F a" stamped as a logo in the sheet metal. It runs the tines which are mounted on a double belt drive and throws the hay against a set of "fingers" which stops it and forms the row. Not a great idea for hay but it works wonders on pine needles.

I have no clue who made it - can someone recall who did.

Many thanks

When I was on vacation in Austria I saw a couple rakes setup like that. Most where on a 2wheeled tractor (like a gravely) but I saw a couple at used equipment dealers for a 3pth. According to the farmer I was staying with the tractor mounted versions where from the 70s and they didn't work that well. Which is why every farm I saw used rotary rakes, many of which where front mounted the tractors. I've seen a couple of these show up at auctions but always in the back "junk" rows.

Little late to the party but Fa is Farendlose or something like that. Probably yellow and green. Works very well, action is just like a rotary rake except you can back up too. Main problem with them is they are narrow. I have a Vogel and Noot - Heublitz belt rake. Reliable as heck but very slow. Single raking is 8 ft max. Makes a beautiful windrow that looks like a rotary rake did it.

I know I'm very late to the party, but if you're still here I was wondering if you have any info, manual, for this rake. I have a Vogel & Not as well that my father had and is like to resurrect. I remember using it a little when I was younger and it's been junked for 20 years. Thanks

Having spent a lot of summers in the Austrian mountains these rakes are used a lot still by hillside farmers often in a setup used like the picture attached! They’re ideal for this use as when they are trying to rake every scrap of grass they’ve cut they get right right into every corner!
