I hope this is an ok place to post this . . . but while grading one of my lots i saw this thing. I didn't know what is was. . . thought is was a Large slug but was told that is was an eel. This thing even has Feet, check out the little things on the 3rd shot. I placed the dollar there so you could see the size.

My 10 year old girl was even playing with it :)

I walked up on this one as it was coming out of the hole. . . I wear a size 12 shoe so you can see these things are pretty big.

Hope ya'll liked the pics.

I am intrigued. Our eels stay in the water.
I don't see the external gills like the sirens you posted Moss.
Any one else have an idea?

I'm guessing it is an alien.

No idea what the real name is, but that looks just like a waterdog, a kind of salamander. We used to buy the smaller ones for catfish bait. I've also heard of people using them in cattle tanks, large multi-thousand gallon metal or concrete ones, to eat the moss and bugs that gather. This is the first time I've seen one "in the wild", very cool.
