Have Pressure Washer, make it a Generator to?

Just curious... you see Campbell H. generators at stores
GN356400AC 2500 Watts, 6 HP B&S Intek OHV, with cart sell for $500.

Looking at the motor on these setup's, its basically the same
motor as my 2200 psi Campbell pressure washer, same cart and all.

Why can't a person just buy a Generator head for your pressure washer, and walaa.

I found the heads on there site.

Seems like a cheaper way to go, especially if you have a motor already.

Has anyone tried this, or called around.
Only thing I can think of is maybe the shafts are different?
Or the motor needs to be a better quality than my Pressure washer B&S Intek style...

Theres an import outlet here that sells reconditioned generator heads, ive mouned some on tractors and other itemes. they look alot llike the CH models they have. Id be willing to try it.

John, B&S motors are so cheap though. The thought of pulling apart a pressure washer to swap a inexpensive little engine onto a generator just doesn't do it for me. Other then that, any motor, heck, a bunch of squirrels on a wheel could power a generator. The sine wave may be little rough. A good quality generator will have features that would be much harder to implement on your generator like idle down and a much quieter operating level. If theres one thing about generators I really love, its the quiet after they get shutdown.
My generator has inverter technology which means the RPM on the engine matches the load. It can produce 120 volts and 60 Hz at idle and at only 58db and can run from as little as 8 hours to as long as 20 hours depending on the load. It can also run even the most sensitive electronic equipment made. So far this fall I have had it going for about 30 hours since the power has been hit twice. Oh yeah, I get to use my pressuer washer at the same time too! (just kidding) Rat...

Definately have a point, after researching this more, and seeing that most of the generator motors have overhead valves, and larger fuel tanks, they seem better suited for running very long periods at a time...

And definately you get what you pay for.
I've searched and read most every generator message on TBN, this is definately a great start. Learn by experience.
