The area created by the gable end and the valley meeting will be subject to some pretty deep snow drifts. Knowing you are in a snow belt, please go back to the truss mfr and make them aware of this. Their trusses may not be designed for the increased snow load and could fail. If the trusses are overstressed, the manufacturer can design a field fix to strengthen them. The fix should be a stamped drawing.
