I am building an addition on my house. The current roof trusses run from front to back and are a 4/12 pitch. The addition is on the right side of the house. The trusses run from left to right. They are also a 4/12 pitch. Not thinking beforehand, the peak of the new trusses for the addition is lower than the original house is, since they are not as long, so when I go to run my ridge board from the original roof peak to the additions roof, the ridge board will go over top of the peak on the new trusses instead of into the side. I hope that makes sense. I already got the trusses, so I have to use what I have. Any idea's on how I can make this work that looks ascetically correct?
