Today was a wonderful day. Not only the local TBN'rs, we had long distance visitors.. BriGuy and his neighbor from NW area Albany New York, Ursushorriblilus from north of Portsmouth New Hampshire and Steve, from other construction type nets from New Haven Ct.. It was a real treat to meet all of you that thankfully took the 120 mile plus, one way trip for a lunch meeting,, I hope those of us that meet each month in Sturbridge MA will return the favor and travel to your favorite eating establishment. today was a real pleasure for sure... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thank You Soooo much guys for hosting us out of towners and making us feel like old friends. (This excludes you Junkman)

Actually I do send a special thanks to Junkman for inviting us to his beautiful home and letting me try the grapple, which admittedly I wasn't very proficient with at first. It's hospitality like this that keeps my interested in TBN.

I do see why Junkman is the perfect name. His large garage is so full of interesting stuff you could easily spend days in there. In fact it is recommended that if you go in there to bring food and water in case you get trapped for a few days.

Larry We would be honored to have you guys up our way some time.

Thanks again guys!!! See you sometime soon. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Junk,

Does your hard drive look like your Garage.

If so you need to defrag /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Funny but the guy I'm working with tonight loves Daschunds. He had one very similar to yours when he was growing up. He got a big kick out of your pic.

What!!!! And not even one picture???? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

A chance to prove that the elusive Junkman truly exists missed again???

Around this part of the country Junkman ranks right up there with that furry guy that walks the hills out there in Cal-i-for-ne-a...'cept Junkman's name is easier to spell... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So the hunt for a photo of the elusive Junkman continues... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Glad you guys had a fun time...maybe you can hitch a ride with the junkman if he comes down for the local lunch meeting in Grove City PA on Nov. 6th... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

around these parts, his name is on every post office wall.. I believe Sasquatch ,(or was it Quasimoto) may be his brother in law or something

First off let me say that I have never had the pleasure to meet "Junkman" although we have chatted both on and off TBN many times. This picture was sent to me by an anonymous TBN member and the guy in the tow-motor with its wheels planted squarely on the ground is supposed to be Junk although I have no way of verifying this information. This does look to me like something that Junk might try........... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Whadda all think, is this a Kodak moment?

I had a great time at Gracie's yesterday, and want to thank Larry for inviting me and everyone for making me feel at home. A more diverse cast of characters would be hard to find, and it was a pleasure meeting them all.

Junkman does indeed exist, and I want to thank him for showing me his wonderful home and playland of a garage, where I got to watch him and Brian (Bri-Guy) play with his grapple. Junkman is something between a wizard and a leprechaun, with wise eyes that sparkle with humor and mirth - and he loves dogs, so he can't be a bad guy /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Steve for the business advice, I will be asking you a great many more questions. Your experience and knowledge will save me many mistakes and hours of frustration.

Listening to these guys is a fascinating experience, Larry, Junkman, Brian, and Steve, and later on AndyM have a collective set of experiences and accumulated knowledge that could solve the worlds' problems /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif There definitely is no mechanical/technical/business applications these guys couldn't handle. I highly recommend attending one of this groups functions - you'll learn something, and even if you don't, the entertainment value is priceless /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Tony

Ursushorribilus,
We forgot to mention the funny part.
My friend Wayne and I arrived at about 5 of noon, and Gracies was empty. When we asked the waitress if this was the place she said she never heard of TBN. We did notice Ursushorribilus pacing in the parking lot Saying the same thing to himself that we were saying out loud (what have we gotten our selves into) We were beginning to think the monthly meeting was an elaborate hoax perpetrated by the junkman. I even called my wife and had her go on the website to make sure the meeting wasn't cancelled. Then Tony (Ursushorribilus) came up to our table and said with hesitation (and Tony is a big guy) " are you guys???" Before he finished we said TBN sit down friend. What a relief!!!!

Well a little after noon Which seemed like an eternity to us (never know who you are going to meet over the internet) A Motley Crew walked In and we knew it was Larry, Junkman, and Steve.

Ursushorribilus's description of Junkman is accurate, although some may say He looks more like an english professor or maybe even Albert Einstein.

Junk is kind of like Wilson from Tim Allen's show Home Improvement. No one can see his face Unless you come to a monthly meeting and Take the secret oath, already know the secret handshake, and pass a Grapple operators test. This is a serious oath for life to be inducted into the Secret Society of Junkman, and it caries more mistery than even the Skulls. So you will not be seeing any immages of Junkman on the Web, our lives depend on it.

as I've said so many times before, if Junk would just stick his wet fingers into a 220 socket for a split second, Albert Einstein is still alive and well.. Boy, I am really glad to be the only one there with both oars in the water,, Some of you guys have me wondering with one oar in the water,,, /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I guess 1 oar makes for some interesting and unexpected turns.

Or maybe I'm just typing to keep from going crazy (working nights on the weekend stinks) sometimes I feel like a prisoner in a power plant.

Sniffle, sniffle.... sounds like it was a fun gathering. Makes me wish I still lived in New Haven.
